This recipe shows you the easiest AND most delicious way to make baked sweet potato fries! They are gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan!

What would the world do without sweet potato fries? Who really knows?

All I know is that sweet potato fries have made my life at least 10 times better! They are the perfect combination of sweet + salt! This recipe also makes them really yummy and crispy on the edges but still soft on the inside!

Fries are such a delicious food but, they’re oftentimes pretty unhealthy. So the other evening, I was on a mission. I wanted to make it possible for me to eat sweet potato fries, without having the guilt of eating nasty junk food!

And, to be honest, I think I did pretty great! These fries are super yummy, pretty healthy, and really easy to make! So, I’m not gonna delay the process anymore. Let’s get cooking!!

Shaping

Begin by washing and peeling the potatoes. (Scrub them well to get all the stubborn bits of dirt off! 🙂

Then cut the sweet taters into medium-sized fries. This is the hardest part of the recipe simply because the sweet potato is so dense! Just try to make them equally sized so they all bake evenly.

Seasoning

The opportunities are honestly pretty limitless when it comes to this part of the recipe!

  • garlic powder + salt (my fav!)
  • cumin + smoked paprika
  • chili powder + cayenne pepper
  • garlic powder + rosemary + thyme (also my fav lol)
  • and so much!

Toss one of those combinations with some olive oil in a bowl and spread them out on the baking sheet!

Baking

It’s always the absolute worst when something that you bake sticks to the pan! The best wat to avoid this issue is a sheet of parchment paper and a drizzle of oil. The combo of both of those also makes your pan non-stick and you potatoes a tiny bit crispy around the edges!

Put in your baking sheet w/ sweet potatoes into a pre-heated oven @ 375 degrees F. Bake that for about an hour, or until they are fully soft. Flip the fries occasionally so they get cooked evenly on all sides.

A good dipping sauce is also important 🙂
