This is seriously one of the best sandwiches you will ever have! This recipe for an amazing meatball sub is super delicious AND easy!!

A couple weeks ago I posted the recipe for perfect meatballs. They went over really well and everyone loved them a lot! But I’m the type of gal that won’t just stop there. I like taking my recipe to the next level. So, instead of just eating my meatballs with some pasta and tomato sauce I did something special.😏

I made a meatball sub!!!

Ok, I’m gonna be completely honest with you.  Joey Tribbiani might have inspired me to make this sandwich.  A couple of days ago I was watching Friend and I watched the episode where Joey, Chandler, and Ross went on a ride-along with Phoebe‘s cop boyfriend.  Joey stopped to get a meatball sub and he kept raving about it to his buddies, so I decided to make my own!☺️

How to make a meatball sandwich that Joey Tribbiani would approve of?

Secret #1 – Have good meatballs!  If you use my recipe, I can promise you really great meatballs!  But if you can’t be bothered and you use frozen, be sure that it’s a quality company.  It really makes a difference.

Secret #2 – There’s a special thing that I like to do to give the bread to give it a lil kick!  Before toasting, I spread some butter and add a pinch of garlic powder!  Yep, garlic powder.  That addition makes the bread more interesting and unique than plain toast.

Just be careful to not go overboard on the garlic powder. A little goes a long way!😉

Secret #3 – Completely melt the cheese!  This seems like a given but I feel like it’s skipped over sometimes.  When you add your cheese and pop it into the broiler/toaster, leave it in there long enough for the mozzarella to really melt.  You don’t wanna bite into a sandwich with a cold piece of cheese!
