Nothing beats a delicious bowl of creamy Chicken Alfredo! This easy 30-minute dinner recipe is perfect for the whole family to enjoy!

If you clicked on this post, that means that you love two things: easy dinner recipes and good chicken alfredo! If that’s true, then I think we’re gonna be really great friends! This recipe brings those two things together to make a fantastic pasta dinner.

I really don’t believe cooking chicken alfredo has to be complicated! That’s why I’ve broken it down into 4 easy parts:

Chicken – Chicken is a really easy meat to mess up and cook dry. I find that my fried chicken tenders work amazing sliced up on top!

Pasta/Noodles – Honesty, this part is completely your choice! You can do penne, linguine, fettuccini, or even conchiglie. Your choice! I love little bow ties, just because they’re so darn cute! (Unfortunately, my grocery store didn’t have those this time so I used fusilli instead ^)

Toppings – I added in some thinly spiced greed onion just because. But if your not that interested in onion, some fresh basil would be delicious as well! With some parm on top of course! 😉

Sauce – When I don’t have much time for dinner, I gotta pick my battles. Making the Alfredo sauce from scratch isn’t one of them. Knowing me, I will most likely start it cooking, then forget about it, then end up with a burnt sauce! 🙂 Instead of that mess, I just buy one that’s pre-made from the grocery store. To give it some extra flavor, I heat it up in the same pan that I fried my chicken in and I add some thinly sliced basil or green onion, as mentioned above.

Chicken Alfredo Recipe

Ingredients
 16 oz can of Alfredo sauce
 1.75 lbs fried chicken tenders (roughly)
 ¼ cup parmesan cheese
 3 cups pasta of choice

Directions

Put a pot of water and salt it heavily. When it has begun boiling rapidly, put the pasta in and let it boil for the correct amount of time depending on pasta type. Before straining it, pull out about a cup of pasta water for later.

While the water is boiling/the pasta is cooking, cook your chicken with my fried chicken tenders recipe (linked in notes). When the chicken is ready, slice it into bite-sized pieces and set aside to top your alfredo with later.

In the same pan that you fried the chicken, heat up your alfredo sauce. When the pasta is al dente put it into the pan with the alfredo sauce and mix the two together. If you want the dish to be a bit more saucey, add in little splashes of pasta water until you're happy with the consistency.

Plate the pasta and top it with chicken, basil/green onion, and/or cheese and enjoy!!

Notes

  • Fried Chicken Tenders
  • Try to time your cooking so that the pasta and chicken will be ready at about the same time.  This way, your pasta will not become overcooked and too doughy.  🙂
  • If you poured out all the pasta water on accident, you can also use some milk to make the dish saucier.
